awesome
i got married in November 2007 at the Harding Allen Estate, i am quite perplexed at the last review. they asked us if we would like alcohol served before the ceremony I asked HAE not to serve any alcoholic beverages before my ceremony to any of my guests perhaps thats the choice that thier bride and groom wanted too! it was our choice! i didn't want anyone boozed up before my ceremony you wouldn't drink before church would you? i will admit that Sydney the estate manager is very efficient and that she can come across firm, but thats to assure all goes well who wants an idiot wedding coordinator . This group obviously didn't meet the owners Grace and Carmine they are so sweet and wanted everything to be perfect for us and i was told that my wedding was Sydney's last, she is leaving the HAE. as far as the key issue they tell you up front that the mansion is 100 years old and has old antique locks and skeleton keys that break off in the locks very easily they opened the doors for use when ever we asked.it has nothing to do with being baby sat. i rate the HAE a five star venue the atmosphere, the food, the staff was wonderful to my new husband, myself and our guests. i can only surmise that the guest that wrote this review who likes to party in the late morning maybe had something additional to party with in their room and that they should consider someplace less upscale for their wedding.
