| I would definitely recommend this photographer. Ken was wonderful to work with and the photos (for the most part) turned out AMAZING. The packages are very affordable and we got tons of pictures for ourselves and both sets of parents. I didn't have to pick out a few individual shots...I got hundreds of pictures in both 5x6 and 8x10 sizes. They were more than happy to exchange or replace any photos that were off-color or had a scratch.
They were FAR more affordable than most photographers in Boston and offered us both digital and film photography in combination. They were flexible enough to stay for an extra hour when asked at the wedding reception and very pleasant overall.
The BEST PART: You get your negatives!!! this is extremely rare - but we have the negatives and the copyright so we can get copies. I have tons of family in India, and this made it easy for me to send them prints months after the wedding. In addition, we knew we were moving away from Boston and wanted these valuable negatives in our possession. They are now backed up in multiple places and we can be certain that they won't be lost.
I have 2 regrets: 1) I thought the film photography would be better quality than digital and requested that my formals be done with film....after getting the pics back, I realized that digital give excellent quality with the added bonus of being able to see the photos instantly. My formals are good since they took multiples in each pose, but there are some shots that have squinty eyes in the sun or too much ground etc. I think they could have been a little nicer (I also picked the wrong backdrop for most of the photos given the time of day). And the photographer would have been able to see it and let us know so we could re-do these shots or move to another spot if we had used digital.
2) I wish I had asked the photographer to get more shots of guests and family (instead of focusing completely on me and my husband)....it's our day, but when you look back it's nice to see pics of friends and family too. I definitely wish I had gotten a few more of parents, brothers, nieces, nephews and my close friends. |
