| Every bride wants to find THE dress that makes them feel beautiful and confident. Somehow, I fell in love with a dress online. I had high hopes that this dress would be the one for me. I knew Yolanda's was the bridal salon to go to in the Boston area, so I called to make an appointment and I asked if they had the dress, knowing that none of the other places I called did. Luckily, they did and I was excited!. I was a little intimadated since it was my first time trying on dresses, but I was immediately welcomed and put at ease by my consultant Jayne. We chatted about my style and what I was looking for, and I showed her the dress. She brought it back to my room with other dresses to try on. The second I put it on, I knew this was it. It was Jim Hjelm 8800 and it felt made for me. I was ecstatic. I was told it would take 4-6 months to come in, but to my surprise it arrived within 1 month! The dress was expensive, but I knew going in how much Jim Hjelm costs, and Yolanda's price was competitive. Yolanda actually gave me 15% since I bought it on my first trip.
Two months before the wedding, I scheduled my alterations appointment. Maria Viola did my alterations and she was so talented and so sweet. My dress did not need much work, but the lace was very delicated. She hemmed it significantly, raised the straps, and we did a 5 point traditional bustle. It was done in 3 appointments (initial, then I went and the hem was pinned and the bustle was pinned to make sure it was perfect, and the final time to pick it up). Maria was so kind. She made me feel so beautiful. She helped me get it in the car and everything!
So to sum it up, I went to Yolanda's and had a fabulous experience. I got the dress I dreamed about for the expected price. I had an easy alterations experience, and most importantly, they made me feel comfortable and beautiful. |
